"If I wanted some gross sneakers that were supposed to help poor kids I’d just buy TOMS. PSYCH! I’D BUY SOME RICK DUNKS AND THEN MAIL A CHECK TO AFRICA FOR POTABLE WATER. I’d rather those kids have drinkable water than a pair of the official shoe for lazy douchebags worldwide."
This just made me laugh so hard. Jon Moy does it again.
I’ve been noticing that there seems to be a lot less individual style anymore. It seems that everyone is emulating someone else, I am guilty of this also even when I try not to be. There is a saturation of “fashion” around today but a lot of people don’t seem to have their own personal style. It’s definitely more difficult to find your own style now. This difficulty is probably mostly from the internet and the massive amount of blogs saying what one should and shouldn’t wear or style rules. But that’s what bothers me, there should not be any rule or anyone telling you what to wear. People need to dress in what makes them comfortable and confident. It took me many years to figure this out. I spent years wearing the cool trendy thing and now I realize thats not the way to go. I’m just tired of seeing everyone dressing the same and out of their element. I started to really enjoy clothing and fashion when there was so much originality and creativity with outfits and style. I’m a very simple dresser for the most part, but thats how I’ve always been. When did the “heritage style” become so cool? I used to get weird looks when I would dress like that five years ago wearing my dads old clothes but now it’s the cool thing to do. Or where did the camo craze come from? I love camo, I’ve been wearing camo for years now but that stemmed from skateboarding not the over-abundance of camo products in the market. It just seems that the fashion industry is in a weird spot right now. Or maybe this has been going on for years but I never paid enough attention to notice. Maybe it will all even out again soon. Ehh, rant over.
Norman Porter makes some of the best jeans I’ve ever seen. They are truly works of art.
Just so you know… popovers are the shit. I mean, sure its obnoxious to have to slide them over your head, but still they are the perfect summer shirt. Just throw it over whatever when it gets cold.
